IVR-Young Scholar Prize 2026
- IVR-Prize 2026
- Young scholars (not over 35 years of age, or who are doctoral candidates, or who have obtained a doctoral degree within the past three years) are cordially invited to write a paper to be presented at the next World Congress of the IVR in Istanbul, Turkey. The winning paper will be published in the Archives for Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (ARSP).
- Submission Guidelines
- Papers submitted for the IVR-Prize should:
- Deal with the subject of the 32nd IVR World Congress: “Law in the Face of Changing World Problems,” to be held in Istanbul (Turkey), June 28 to July 3, 2026
- Be written in one of the IVR languages: English, French, German, or Spanish
- Not exceed 20 pages in length (including footnotes and bibliography, approximately 2,300 keystrokes per page)
- Include a cover page listing:
- Title of the paper
- Author’s name and institutional affiliation
- Postal address and email address
- IVR membership status
- Date of birth
- Have no reference to the applicant’s name or identifying information on any pages other than the cover page
- Be submitted to the Managing Editor of ARSP:

- Additional Notes
- The deadline for submission is March 1, 2026
- Only one submission per competitor is allowed
- The date of birth must be included
- Competitors submitting in French, German, or Spanish are requested to provide an English translation to support the review process
- Participation in the IVR-Prize does not prevent the paper from being submitted to the Congress for presentation in working groups
- All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges appointed by the Executive Committee of the IVR
- Prize
- The winning author will receive a €2000 cash award, an invitation to deliver a special IVR-Prize Lecture at the World Congress in Istanbul, and publication of the paper in ARSP.
